Frequently asked questions

  • Do you design logos?

Yes! We design logos often within a larger project scope such as a brand development assignment. We don’t recommend designing a singular logo on its own for many reasons. Bear in mind, we cannot compete with crowd-sourced sites like Fiverr, but if you’ve ended up here and you’re reading this you probably already know why Fiverr isn’t a great idea.

  • How much does branding cost?

There are too many variables involved with a large-scale project like a brand creation or a re-brand to give an exact estimate without discussing specifics. We can tell you that a typical budget range for us begins in the $5K - $10K range.

  • Project or retainer?

The majority of our work is project-based, but we have a handful of retainer relationships with clients that we greatly value. New clients often like to ‘try us out’ with a project or two before moving to a retainer billing schedule so that they can ‘try before they buy’ but also have predictable billing in the long-term. If you think your company would be a good fit for this, please contact us and we can discuss further.

  • What is a good marketing budget?

Depending on the size of the company, most experts suggest 7–8 percent of your gross annual revenue should be set aside for your marketing budget. If you are a startup or looking for substantial growth, that percentage should be even higher.

  • Do you outsource any of your services?

Our core services are done completely in-house. We may engage and manage outside partners for photography, illustration, video, media buying, SEO and printing so that you have one point of contact and the process is seamless from the client side.

  • How to choose an agency?

When you’re choosing an agency we recommend that your first step should be to evaluate their work. This should allow you to gauge whether the agency seems to be a quantity or quality shop. Quantity shops can be a bit more cost competitive, but the work can be generic and uninspired. We are a Quality shop, and pride ourselves on doing strategically sound work that is unique and creative—even if the cost is not as competitive.
